A hungry street cat follows a young teacher, Sally Parker, to her school. The cat is looking for a home, but his funny adventures in the school make trouble for the teacher and her students. It's against the rules to take animals to school, so the cat must go. But who can take him? Some like him, some don't. The PE teacher, the headmaster and the school caretaker are not the cat's best friends. Will the little troublemaker find a new home, or will he have to stay on the streets? Suddenly something happens to decide his future...
